Do you think stem cell research is good, bad, or dangerous? Should it be funded by the government?

I don't know if I know enough about stem cell research to pass judgement on it. I mean, I know it's beneficial in some cases, but harmful in other cases. And I know it's a huge ethical issue. I really don't know. That's why I'm not the one making the decisions around here.
